![]() ![]() ![]() This is a set of hoops for you, but they are not too difficult. However, now, my game is in my library and I can launch it successfully. Next, I reinstalled EA Desktop, which uninstalled Origin again. Once the game was installed, I ran it once from Origin, to make sure that the installation was actually successful (it was). Now, install the problematic game, which for me was Mass Effect (2007). Then you will run Origin again and not have your progress blocked by the forced EA Desktop app installation prompt. I will not give the entire instructions again, they are presented much more clearly and with images, in the link provided. Then, you will need to alter the local.xml that is contained within Program Data. ![]() Then install an older *full* version of Origin that is linked within the above linked thread. Today, I said I would fix it one way or the other, and I did. Mass Effect was in my library and in the store as owned, but I could not download it due to the error mentioned in the OP thread title. The above link helped me solve my issue today, perhaps it will help some of you others. ![]()
